Before Kryla was formally established, members of the Ukrainian community in New Orleans were already organizing protests against the war, just days after invasions began. Dr. Nimkevych joined more than 100 others in the Lakeside Shopping Center parking lot in Metairie, adding their voices to the global condemnation of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
